Never too late to perfect the beginning steps!
You can't do a million fierce pirouettes or a grande jete 6 feet off the ground without having amazing tondues and frappes. And don't forget that swoon-worthy plie. (sorry guys, my keyboard doesn't do french...) You gotta master the simple stuff before moving onto the "more fun" (but really, who doesn't love fondues) stuff. And i'm here to help y'all out <33
Positions
Can't do anything in ballet without knowing how to stand
(there should be a 5 inch gap in between feet in fourth)
always make sure your hips are square and straight unless otherwise specified (like in a tilt...which is really more of a jazz move anyway)
It's super important that you know your ballet vocabulary. (i have this awesome app on my phone that has everything on it) here are some of the simple position vocab words)
One of the hardest things in ballet is standing (yes it's true) yet it's gotta look super easy and flawless...bellybutton pulled to your spine, ribs squeezed together, back and neck tall, engage your lower abs, and breathe.......
Arms are super important....they've gotta be strong, yet look delicate and flowy....it's kinda really hard
Well i think that's it for basics! Stay tuned for more how-to's with harder tricks that you can achieve. And to show how sorry i am for going on a Sherlock-long hiatus, her is your daily dose of Svetlana *heart eyes emoji*
