I got the Starlooks Pro Eyeliner Pen in black and i'm in love. It's a pen liner and it is so pigmented and stays on forever. I ran out of my other pen liner (who's name escapes me) and i'm like cool now i don't have to go get another one (which i was going to do until i got this and i'm never going back). If i could describe it properly, it's the Inglot Gel Liner 77 of pen liners. |
I got the Hikari Lip Gloss in "Salsa" (i believe there was at least 1 other colour that people could've received). I was like hell yea another lip product (lip products are my go -to for some reason) and the colour is super pigmented and it's a moisturizing formula, but it. smells. horrible. Maybe it's because i have a weird obsession with smelling lip products but it is disgusting smelling, which was disappointing. However, it does stay on really well if you wear a liner with it. |
This month i got a skin care product as well, and it's not my favourite. I even changed my preference on my profile to not include hair and face products (cuz the hair product i received was far from ideal). When it says mild, it means it. Which, unfortunately for me, means it didn't really work, as i have really oily skin and i wear makeup everyday....not a good combo. But i gave it to my mum who needed a new cleanser and she said it's great for people with medium to dry skin. And i did notice a difference in her skin after she started using it. |
I'm not going to lie, i have no idea what this product is. 1) i don't have a problem with volume in my hair cuz it's really thick and 2) i just, i don't get it. I tried it in damp hair (like the instructions said) and it pretty much did nothing. It could have been that way for a number of reason, but i didn't notice anything. I also tried it in dry hair, to see if it could act as a dry shampoo of sorts and it made my hair greasy and kind of like that feeling when you brush your hair after using alot of hairspray and the next morning your hair is in clumps? Is that just me? Anyway it was bad. |
On a much happier note, i saved the best for last. I absolutely love the City Color Cosmetics HD Powder. It. Is. Amazing. Normally to set my face makeup i use my Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder and to set my T-zone/under eyes i use Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo (because i'm really pale). But i've discovered that the Ben Nye powder is only really good for "baking" (if you've heard of that technique). So i was on the search and when i saw that i was getting a powder in my Ipsy bag i couldn't wait to try it. It's super thin, but does not move. At All. Because i have super oily skin and i need my makeup to last all day (the main thing i look for when makeup shopping) i put a light dusting of the Rimmel Stay Matte on top (it doesn't look cakey with a light hand) and i'm all set. This might actually be a repurchase. *gasp* |
