Rainbow Hair
Sorry i haven't been on as much but school is like killing me right now and as a result i've been neglecting you guys but no more! So this month i am redyeing my friend's hair and we were looking on pinterest and came across RAINBOW HAIR (sounds kinda trashy, i know) So stay tuned for a tutorial on how to dye your hair rainbow but i figured before we did that i would aid you in your decision of rainbowness. (it's totally a word)
Ombre
ok so this style of rainbow is one of the coolest to see but hardest and most time consuming to do. I would either start with red or purple at the roots and then work your way down in corresponding order of the colours (so they all look good with the colours around them)
Dip-Dye (or half ombre)
If you don't want to fully commit to a full head of dye, maybe half your hair would better suit you.
Top or Bottom Rainbow
Don't want to fry the ends of your hair? Or don't want to risk the colours bleeding if you attempt the ombre? This style might work a little better for you...
This is the half rainbow on natural coloured hair...as you ca see it looks great o dark and light hair. This style is more for those who want a little change but still want a classy look to their hair.
Or just under your bangs for a bit of a spice up :-)
Vertical Sections
If you want a full head of rainbow but don't have enough time to do the ombre, try doing sections of your hair a different colour. That way, you can dye them all at once, rinse out each section separately, and not have to risk immense running of the dye.
Horizontal Sections
Sectioning the colours off horizontally is somewhat more desirable for people because they have all the colours on all parts of their head, instead of one on the left, one on the right. It's especially good for people who have layers in their hair, instead of one consistent length.
Hidden Rainbow
For all you less courageous and outrageous readers. My personal favourite is the mid hair highlight.
Pastel
What?? Pastel and rainbow in the same sentence?? Yup! Pravana (my fave artificial hair dye brand to use) has a newish pastel line (so do other companies but they're not as good) It makes the colours light and pale, but NOT FADED LOOKING. There is a major difference between pastel hair and faded hair.
Pastel is great if you don't really want to stand out that much.
Faded
Don't want to do rainbow because you're unsure of what it will look like after a few weeks? (besides roots) Honestly, it doesn't look too bad.
Chunky Rainbow
Want that messy, lazy, too-cool-to-care look? Try applying the dye in little sections all over your head, big or small. The outcome is actually really cool. (some looks will take longer than others)
It looks super cool braided too!
So i hope you at least thought this was kind cool and maybe one day you might try this! I'm really excited to do my friends hair like this so stay tuned for a tutorial. And send me pictured if you try something like this! My info is on the 'contact me' page :-)
And here's the quote of the week! Have a great one xoxo
